It's time to hit the road again as you make your way to your next destination. Your private transfer will take you to Cusco airport for your flight to Juliaca. Upon arrival to Juliaca Airport near Lake Titicaca you'll be met by one of our guides and who will take you to the beautiful Titilaka Lodge. Your journey will take you through the city of Juliaca and the port of Puno on the shore of Lake Titicaca. The Titilaka Lodge is situated on its own private peninsula surrounded by stunning scenery with each of the 18-suites offering panoramic views of Lake Titicaca and the breathtaking sunsets over the lake. Having settled in to the Lodge, the rest of the day is free to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. Following a light lunch which shows off the best of the region's local cuisine, we recommend that you take a siesta and plenty of liquids to help combat the effects of altitude sickness (you might be used to it by now, but it never hurts to take it easy since you´ll be on higher altitude than Cusco). Feeling rested, an afternoon tea is served at the Lodge before you go out on your first excursion on Lake Titicaca where you'll enjoy a tranquil rowing trip through the reeds near to the lodge. Along the way you'll be able to observe interesting endemic birds and the striking landscapes and unique geography of the region. Arriving back at the Lodge, it's time for some evening cocktails and dinner before joining other guests and interpreters to share your Peru highlands experiences and tales of your travels.
