Marrakech Gardens and Museums Day Tour

Today, you will begin with a walk through the famous garden created by the orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s. The garden features a diverse collection of plants from around the world, set against the backdrop of elegant ornamental ponds and an Art Deco villa painted in a striking cobalt blue, now known as "Majorelle Blue." The garden is also home to over 15 bird species native to North Africa, as well as an impressive collection of cacti. The garden was once owned by the French designer Yves Saint Laurent, and you’ll have the chance to visit the Berber Museum, which displays a collection of Berber antiques from Yves Saint Laurent's private collection. Here, you can learn about the fascinating culture of Morocco’s Berber people and admire these beautiful artifacts. From the garden, it’s a short walk to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, dedicated to the designer’s artistic legacy. This museum showcases a significant selection of his art and fashion work, and was inaugurated alongside the Paris museum. The collection includes 5,000 pieces of clothing and 15,000 haute couture accessories, offering a glimpse into the creative genius of one of the world’s most renowned designers.
