Seville Walking Tour & Cooking Class
You will meet your private guide for a three and a half hour walking tour of Seville. Please note that modest dress is required to enter religious buildings such as the Cathedral. You may begin at Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic structure in the world and the third largest church in Christendom. Inside is the disputed tomb of Christopher Columbus. You will also see the Cathedral’s 12th century bell tower, the Giralda, originally built as a minaret, though the tower is not included in the tour. Your visit continues at the Alcazar Palace, originally Moorish and later rebuilt by Mudéjar craftsmen for Christian royalty. Its design combines Moorish and European elements, with intricate tilework, marble floors, and patterned plaster. The palace is arranged around courtyards including Las Doncellas, used for official ceremonies, and Las Muñecas, a private retreat. The Ambassadors’ Hall is especially notable for its decoration. You will also walk through the Barrio de Santa Cruz, once the Jewish Quarter. Although no original synagogues or homes remain, the area recalls its medieval past. Here you will learn about Jewish life in Seville, including the persecutions of 1391 that led to conversions and later expulsion in 1492. Food and drinks are not included. In the evening, you will join a three hour private cooking class in the Triana Market. After preparing up to four traditional tapas, you will enjoy the dishes with Spanish wine and sangria. Food and drinks are included.
