Montserrat Mountain Visit & Winery Tasting
At 9am you will meet your private driver at the hotel lobby. You will have the vehicle at your disposal for eight hours, and the drive to Montserrat takes about one hour. At 10am your six-hour private tour begins, combining Montserrat mountain and a local winery visit. Montserrat is both a religious site and a unique mountain range with views over Catalonia. You can reach higher points via a cable car or funicular and take short walks along the mountain paths. The Benedictine monastery at Montserrat was built between 1023 and 1036 and continues to be inhabited by monks. Nestled among the peaks, it is a symbol of Catalonia and home to “La Moreneta,” the Black Madonna, the region’s patron saint. After exploring Montserrat, your tour continues to a nearby winery. You will enjoy a guided visit of the vineyards and cellar, learning about the family behind the winery, the regional characteristics, and the winemaking process. The experience ends with a tasting of wines paired with small bites and tapas. At 4pm your private car will return you to Barcelona, arriving at the hotel around 5pm. Food and drinks are included during the winery visit.
