Matmata - El Jem - Sousse
After breakfast at the camp, you will be transferred to Matmata a small Berber speaking town in southern Tunisia. Some of the local Berber residents live in traditional underground "troglodyte" structures. Here you will have the opportunity to visit a local berber family and troglodyte cave dwelling. Lunch will be in Sfax at the Dar Dhaifa. After this continue to El Jem to visit the Coliseum of El Jem. It is one of the best preserved Roman stone ruins in the world, and is unique in Africa. As with other amphitheaters in the Roman Empire, it was built for spectator events, and it is one of the biggest amphitheaters in the world. You will be transferred on to Sousse to your hotel.
