Lipica Horse Stud Visit

The final stop of the day is the Lipica Stud Farm, the birthplace of the Lipizzaner horses. This farm has continued the tradition of breeding these well-known white horses for over 400 years. During your visit, you will learn about the history of the breed, the care and training of the horses, and the role the farm has played in maintaining this long-standing practice. Set in the Karst region, the farm is surrounded by open fields and stone-built stables, creating a setting that reflects both the agricultural and cultural background of the area. You may have the chance to see the horses up close and hear from staff who are involved in their daily care. The visit provides a practical look at how a tradition is preserved and adapted over time. Following your time at the farm, your guide will continue the drive across the border into Italy. You will arrive in the town of Trieste, where you will check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is free for you to settle in, rest, or take a short walk around the area, depending on your preference.
