Kutjevo Castle
Our destination is Kutjevo and the renowned Krauthaker winery, where we will spend the evening enjoying wine tasting, traditional music performances, and locally sourced freshwater fish and game prepared on the spot. The Krauthaker vineyards are located at 45.3° North, the same latitude that runs through some of the world's most famous wine-growing regions: Istria, Piedmont, the Rhône Valley, Bordeaux, and Oregon. The evening will conclude at the neaby Kutjevo Castle, where our guests will enjoy a well-deserved night's rest in the former Cistercian monastery, which still houses an active wine cellar dating back to 1232. The following morning, guests will have breakfast overlooking the beautiful, architecturally protected botanical garden, a designated heritage site since 1967.
