Floating Nature Safari
This morning you will head out on a "Safari Float" raft experience. This unique tour offers a close-up experience of nature and local traditions with a local homemade snack at the end. A 40 minute drive takes you to the Peñas Blancas River from where you will board your raft. Here you will receive brief paddling and safety instructions to ensure your safety and comfort on the river. Once on the river, you’ll paddle downstream, guided by a bilingual nature expert who will share insights about the plants and animals of the region. As you drift along the calm waters, keep an eye out for sloths, monkeys, reptiles, and an array of tropical birds like toucans, herons, and kingfishers, all nestled within the lush rainforest. At the end of the river tour, you will visit the local farm ranch “La Cocina de Tita Yolanda”. Here you will take a short walk through the garden and learn about local crops native to this area. Enjoy a delicious homemade snack, before being transferred back to your hotel. The afternoon is yours at leisure.
