Your Travel Experience with Finest Journeys

Today's expedition leads us to Mtskheta, Georgia's ancient capital and spiritual epicenter, a realm adorned with historical treasures: the venerable Jvari Monastery, standing proudly since the 6th century, and the resplendent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a sanctuary that cradles the sacred Robe of Christ. These revered marvels have earned prestigious UNESCO World Heritage status. Our journey unfolds further at "Chateau Mukhrani," a living testament to the 16th-century legacy, housing the duke's regal palace and ancient wine cellars, a sanctuary for 60,000 barrels steeped in historical tales. Here, savour the finest local wines acclaimed for their fusion of traditional Georgian craftsmanship and internationally acclaimed winemaking techniques. Continuing our drive, we arrive at "Iago's wine cellar" nestled in Chardakhi village, offering a taste of unique BIO wines crafted in the revered Georgian Kvevri, recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage practice. Notably, these exceptional wines grace the prestigious list at London's Ritz hotel. As the day concludes, we return to Tbilisi, having embarked on an odyssey through Georgia's historical tapestry and celebrated wines, promising an evening of repose at a Tbilisi hotel. The day includes breakfast and lunch, showcasing the spotlight wines: Chinuri (white, semi-sweet) and Muscat (white, dessert). Indulge in the culinary delight of the day: Eggplant with walnut.
