Explore Surreal Sofia
Day 2- After breakfast you will explore the highlights of the capital of Bulgaria – the city of Sofia. Along the city tour you will see the main attractions – its yellow cobbled streets, the Roman ruins, the thermal springs in the centre of the capital, Also Immerse yourself in the National Theatre Ivan Vazov and the wonderful Alexander Nevski Cathedral. There is also other beautiful sites like the Sofia University, the Mosque, the Synagogue, St. George Church to name a few.
Mingle with the Locals- Authentic Bulgarian countryside
Day2- Contd. After exploring the lovely city center, later in the afternoon you will be transferred to the Balkan Mountain Range (2.20 hours). You will enjoy a 2 to 3 hour pottery workshop in the “Eko Art” craft shop in Drashkova Poliana Village. The lovely hosts- Encho and Velichka are a lovely family who in the next 2 days will tell you more about the traditional Bulgarian pottery and art. Encho will demonstrate to you some special techniques when creating the typical Bulgarian pottery. Velichka will share with you interesting stories and information about the region.
In the late afternoon we head to our overnight stay in the town of Apriltsi at The Sunny House. key features: Relaxation center and Spa/ Fitness center. Office setup. There is also a local winery, garden with a stone barbecue and veranda. The yard is walled with a stone fence as of the aged Bulgarian houses. The home feels homely and is suitable for families with children because there is no need of continuous parental control.
