En Route to Jaipur

You willl depart from Agra for Jaipur via our transfer, and will stop along the way to visit Fatehpur Sikri. Situated 40 km from Agra, the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1569 in honor of the renowned Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of three sons to the childless emperor. Akbar initially made Fatehpur Sikri his capital, and the city thrived for 14 years before gradually falling into ruin after Akbar left. The main reason for its decline was the lack of a reliable water supply. Explore the remarkably preserved structures within this "Ghost City," including the Jama Masjid, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal Palace, and other palaces. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at your hotel. Jaipur, often called the Pink City, is one of India’s most beautiful and culturally significant cities. Founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in November 1727, the city takes its name from this valiant Hindu ruler. Located in northern India, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of Rajasthan. The city's most notable feature is its distinctive architecture, which was planned according to the principles of Vastu Shastra, an ancient science that promotes well-being and prosperity.
