Visit the Southern Mountains of Sakar and Cook Traditional Dishes with Locals!
In the morning head to the less known but beautiful region of South Sakar mountain. On our way we will stop in the town of Panagyurishte where we will have a cooking class and a lunch with our hosts from Djudjeva House. You'll learn to make Panagyurski Tutmanik, a traditional banitsa with white cheese. Join your hosts to knead dough, hand-roll crusts, add cheese, and bake it. Afterward, enjoy tasting it along with other dishes like beans made in a clay pot, Panagyurshte’s eggs (seared eggs with white cheese and Bulgarian yogurt), Panagyurishka lukanka (homemade sausage with special herbs), and more. After lunch you will have the opportunity to change into a traditional and authentic costume and take pictures in the beautiful yard of Djudjeva House. Later you will continue to the village of Glavan where you will spend the next 2 days. Dinner accompanied by local wines.
