Alhambra Walking Tour

In the morning, your private car and driver will collect you from your hotel in Seville. You will have the vehicle at your disposal for three hours. The drive to Granada takes about two hours and forty five minutes. At 3pm you will meet your expert guide for a private three and a half hour tour of the Alhambra and the gardens of the Generalife. The Alhambra is a vast complex of palaces, courtyards and fortifications built by the Nasrid dynasty. Its architecture and decorative details reflect the influence of the Moors in Spain. During your visit you will walk through the Moorish palaces, including the renowned Courtyard of the Lions, and learn how the Alhambra developed as both a defensive stronghold and a royal residence. You will then continue to the Generalife, the summer palace of the Nasrid rulers. The gardens were supplied by an extensive irrigation system that diverted the Darro River to create fertile orchards and green spaces for leisure. Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, the Generalife’s courtyards and terraces lie on the slopes of the Cerro del Sol, offering wide views of the surrounding landscape. Your private guide will then take you back to your hotel in Seville for your final night.
