ACTIVITIES AT ESTANCIA LA BANDADA
Activities at La Bandada: -Horseback riding: Horses are a very important part of life of the farms. Join us for a ride throughout La Bandada! We have very well trained and easygoing horses, so you can enjoy a ride whether you have any previous experience or not. We have criollo horses, a very noble breed native of Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, with a reputation for long-distance. -Bike riding: Estancia La Bandada is surrounded by a large park, full of a variety of very old trees, including centenarian platanus, oak trees, acacias, pines, chilean myrtles, laureles, and casuarinas. -Barbecue: The barbecue is a tradition that occupies a very important moment in Argentine social life. It is not just a meal, but a festive event. We invite you to participate in the process and enjoy it with a glass of Malbec in hand. The best cuts of meat are chosen for our roasts, made with different local techniques in an outdoor space made for that purpose in mind. -Cooking classes: You can choose from a variety of recipes, such as empanadas, pasteles, tortas fritas and buñuelos! No previous experience is required! And of course, what you cook will be served in your next meal! -Bird watching circuit: A self-guided program to look for hummingbirds, cardinals, horneros, herons, storks, sparrows, tropical screech owl, southern screamers, coscoroba swans, black necked swans, woodpeckers, fork tailed flycatchers, and a variety of over 15 ducks, such as cinnamon teal, yellow billed pintail, white-faced whistling duck and southern wigeon. -Orchard tour: The orchard follows the rhythm of nature. Each season is different and the tasks to do change together with them. Different vegetables to taste and harvest, and others to be planted. There are few things more fulfilling that to harvest your own food! You can help us with our daily works at the orchard such as watering, planting, harvesting, pruning or just wandering around the vegetable beds identifying the different crops.
